Overview
Our users were stuck with a fragmented, multi-program process; it was confusing, complicated, and not inclusive.
Accepting a referral meant reassembling it from scratch; patient profiles lived in their own program. Finding a Provider match meant a dubious search process; users had to switch to a completely separate program to manage the patient. It was clear there was too much data, too many windows, and not enough speed to care.
Our goal: Build a WCAG AAA self-service platform for Providers, Practices, and Practice Managers, reducing workflows, increasing productivity, and most importantly, speed to care.
Care management: simplified
The Problem
An outdated multi-program process
Our team set out to build an innovative tool for the Healthcare industry that alleviated the pain points for Providers, Practices, and Practice Managers face. Our goal was to take fragmented processes that left users overwhelmed and bring the user experience to the forefront. While ensuring our tool was built on WCAG AAA principles, we didn’t want to say we were inclusive; we wanted to prove it through our work.
Why WCAG AAA?
Inclusivity matters
People are diverse; our team wanted to meet our users wherever they were. We didn’t want someone to feel discouraged or unable to use our system. Too often, the back-end user is left behind for the shiny customer-facing product. We wanted our users to feel that same well-designed and personalized experience. We set out to build a tool that anyone could use, and for that to be possible, we knew we had to meet the strictest WCAG AAA guidelines.
